Ram Limbu Early Life and Education:
Ram Limbu, born on March 24, 1996, hails from Birtabazar, Jhapa, Nepal, growing up in a modest family setting. As a twin, his brother, named Lakshman Limbu, shares his birthday. In addition to his twin, Ram has a sister and two brothers, making up their family of six. His father, a former army serviceman, and his elder brother reside abroad due to financial constraints.
Ram completed his schooling at Glory English Boarding School, where he nurtured his passion for football from a young age. His enthusiasm for the sport led him to actively participate in football activities, and he seized the opportunity to play for the under-12 team under the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Representing Jhapa, he traveled to Saatdobato, Kathmandu, to train at the ANFA academy, where he found supportive coaches and made lasting friendships.
Despite his dedication to football and the promising prospects it offered, Ram encountered a setback when he suffered a leg injury after two years of intensive training. Unfortunately, this injury prevented him from continuing his athletic pursuits and participating in competitive games.
Ram Limbu Career:
Ram Limbu’s journey into the music industry was unexpected, considering his upbringing in a family with no musical background. Despite this, his parents always encouraged his pursuits, allowing him the freedom to explore his interests. Initially, Ram’s passion lay in football, and he eagerly participated in the sport, even earning a spot on the under-12 team of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). However, a leg injury dashed his hopes of continuing his football career.
Upon returning home, Ram’s life took a musical turn when he encountered his neighbor’s brother, a drummer, who introduced him to various genres of music. Intrigued by this new world, Ram began immersing himself in music, eventually joining a band and performing at local shows and concerts. He also ventured into the realm of online music, uploading cover songs on platforms like YouTube.
Despite his burgeoning musical aspirations, Ram faced challenges along the way. His attempt to audition for Nepal Idol was thwarted by an unexpected illness, and his mother’s disapproval further dampened his spirits. Undeterred, Ram persevered, overcoming financial constraints by working odd jobs such as in restaurants, as a wall painter, and even operating a momo shop on a cart.
Journey of The Voice of Nepal Season 2:
In 2019, Ram participated in The Voice of Nepal Season 2, where he performed Ma Sansar Jitne Aaat by Sabin Rai in a blind audition. The second season’s Grand finale was held at Taragaon Open Field Chuchchepati Kathmandu on 7 December 2019 and he won the title from team Promod.
Ram Limbu Personal Life:
He says he is single because he still focuses on his music career so he doesn’t give as much time for a relationship. Some media said that he was getting married but he said that was not the truth. If we get any news in the future we’ll update it.
