Childhood and Education:

Sanish Shrestha was born on 14 June 1999 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a younger son of mother Jamuna Shrestha (Dhakal) and father Bijaya Shrestha. His childhood was spent at his birthplace. His family always supports him to do music. He says that his inspiration is a grandfather. His grandfather used to sing Bhajan helped him to get interested in the music industry.

Sanish finished his schooling (SLC) at Sypres Public High School, Kathmandu, and joined Sirjana College of Fine Arts but he did not continue his education due to personal issues.

Sanish Shrestha Journey in The Voice of Nepal Season 2:

Sanish Shrestha was very passionate to sing a song from childhood. He has sung so many Bhajan with his grandfather and also he makes so many cover songs on youtube before coming on The Voice of Nepal. Also, his childhood dream was to perform on the X-Factor or The Voice.

Then he decides to participate in The Voice of Nepal Season 2 and he sends a song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen for Digital Audition. And he was selected for Blind Audition but he has no idea which song to sing in Blind audition because he mostly used to sing English songs.

And this season The Voice of Nepal does not allow to sing English songs. After that, The Voice of Nepal music director Karan suggests performing the song Lai Lai from Prasad Movie in the Blind Audition. That performance changes his music career, all judges are turned around which he had not expected. Finally, he chooses Raju Lama as his coach.

Also, his blind audition is selected in The Voice Global and this performance helps to get more popularity and Frame national and international.

He gets a massive fan following on social networks and positive feedback that helps to improve more confidence to perform other rounds. After the Battle round, he sang the “Rang” song with Sasika Sunar Rai which was also one of the best performances in the battle round.

According to show formate and performance, he was selected in the battle round and went to Knockout Round. In the Knockout round, he battled with Raybon Lama and Bijaya Limbu and he was able to knock out both of them. Finally, Sanish was reached in the Live round and he performed varieties of songs such as Ke Yo Maya Ho, Mari JauMaya Sansar, Oh Amira, Kali Kali, Bistarai Bistarai, and so on. After that, he was selected as a top 4 finalist, unfortunately, he can’t win The Voice of Nepal title but he wins all supporters and fans’ hearts.

Career in Music:

Sanish Shrestha was very interested in singing a song and music from an early age; he started singing at the age of 8-9. Sanish never takes any music classes but he learns so many ideas from his grandfather. His grandfather used to sing Bhajan and also used to play some instruments when he was a child. That made him interested in music and other musical instruments. So, he said that his biggest inspiration is his grandfather.

His parents are very supportive, they never forced him to leave music. After finishing his SLC, he wanted to study music and he joined Srijana College of Fine Arts, unfortunately, he did not continue his education. Then he starts to practice singing and playing different types of songs and music at home.

He loves to sing western songs in different genres such as Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Rock & Roll and now he starts to sing Classical genres songs. He played different types of musical instruments like guitar, keyboard, tabla, and so on.

In search of opportunity and platform, he sang so many Nepali and English cover songs in the ClassX Presentation music company as a junior artist. After that, he gets the opportunity to perform in the international franchise singing show The Voice of Nepal.

That was a huge turning point for him. He performs Lai Lai from the movie Prasad and that performance was one of the best performances of The Voice Nepal Season-2 and got selected for The Voice Global.

Now, Sanish is going to debut in the Nepali music industry from the song of the Nepali movie Ma Yasto Geet Gauchhu-2. That is a huge step for his music career.

According to Sanish Shrestha, he is in a relationship. He was dating for a long time.

Sanish Shrestha Future Plan:

Sanish Shrestha says his future is only on music. He drops college because of music. He says he never disappointed any supporters and fans. Now he was working on the Nepali movie Ma Yasto Geet Gauchhu-2 project which is coming soon and also he working on his original songs and release as soon as possible. Also, he promises that he always serves different genres of music among us.
