December (Russian: Декабрь, original title: Dekabr) is an upcoming Russian biographical drama film directed by Klim Shipenko, which he co-wrote with Aleksey Shipenko. It is about the last days of the life of the poet Sergei Yesenin, performed by Alexander Petrov, as well as Sergey Gilyov, Kristina Asmus, Andrey Merzlikin, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Aleksandr Samoylenko, and Kirill Nagiyev.

Principal photography began in December 2020 in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. December is scheduled to be theatrically released in 2023 by Central Partnership.

December Movie Storyline:

The famous dancer Isadora Duncan arrives at the border of the USSR from Germany, who was preparing Yesenin’s escape from the country of the Soviets. He just needs to get on the train and get to Riga. The poet flees from Moscow to snow-covered Leningrad, where he finds himself in a crazy whirlwind of events. He rushes towards his beloved despite any obstacles that constantly arise in his path.
