Storyline:

The Girl Named Feriha, Feriha is a girl who lives in a luxurious neighborhood. Her father works as a janitor in an apartment block, which management provides the family with a small apartment in the basement. Feriha is in the middle of a world, where desires and opportunities seem endless. Her dreams and reality will be stirred up when she attends a private university with a full scholarship. She quickly starts being the center of attention for the upper-class students at the university, including Emir, who is a rich and handsome playboy. She wears her rich neighbor’s clothes, trying to look wealthy but for how long can she pretend to be someone she is not?

The beautiful daughter of a janitor will rise up from her own world to a false world that she has built herself. Alas, this new world that she has built will consume her and her family. The real-life struggles of mother and daughter will become a battle with no return.

Feriha Yılmaz (Hazal Kaya) is an attractive, beautiful, talented, and ambitious daughter of a poor family. Her father, Rıza Yılmaz (Metin Çekmez), is a doorman in Etiler, an upper-class neighborhood of Istanbul. Her mother, Zehra Yılmaz (Vahide Gördüm), is a housekeeper. Feriha is able to secure a full scholarship to a private university. While studying at the university, Feriha poses as a rich girl.

She meets a handsome and rich young man, Emir Sarrafoğlu (Çağatay Ulusoy) at her university. Feriha lies about her life and family background and Emir falls in love with her not knowing who she really is. She also falls in love with him and is trapped in her own lies. Her family arranges her marriage with Halil, who starts to accompany her to the university. He spies on her interactions with Emir and snaps after seeing their display of affection. The season ends with Feriha’s mother getting shot by Halil, Feriha’s ex-fiancé.

Adını Feriha Koydum (English: “The Girl Named Feriha”; “I named her Feriha”) is a Turkish romantic drama television series, starring Hazal Kaya, Cagatay Ulusoy and Vahide Percin in the leading role. The series was broadcast on Show TV on 14 January 2011 – 29 June 2012 and Revival 7 September – 14 December 2012 with 80 episodes.

Season 1 and season 2 become one of the highest-rated seasons all over the world. The series was hugely popular amongst youngsters. The series was revived in the 3rd season with the title changing to Adını Feriha Koydum: Emir’in Yolu, premiered on 7 September 2012 and concluded on 14 December 2012. Since in 73 episodes, it was broadcast in the title of Emir’in Yolu in Turkey. The 3rd season was not that successful as its predecessors. This leads to the cancellation of the show and the show doesn’t get proper end.
