The Mandalorian & Grogu is an upcoming American action-adventure fantasy film directed by Jon Favreau, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Dave Filoni. The film stars Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian.
In January 2024, Lucasfilm announced a film titled The Mandalorian & Grogu, which would continue the stories established in the series. It is the first Star Wars film in 7 years, since the release of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
Filming is expected to begin in June 2024 and will take place in California, marking it as the first Star Wars film to be shot in the state. The production received a $21.8 million tax credit, one of the largest ever awarded by California.
The Mandalorian & Grogu is scheduled to be released theatrically on May 22, 2026, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
