Sanjeev Barali is a Nepalese guitarist, music arranger, and composer, who has contributed his talents to over a thousand songs, with hundreds performed in various concerts.

Baraili is today one of the most prolific guitarists in the Nepali music scene. He is behind the catchy riffs behind such hits as Kutu ma Kutu, a new version of Phul Butte Sari, Gojima Daam Chhaina, and many others.

Sanjeev Baraili Early Life and Education:

Sanjeev Baraili was born on 27 May, in Birtamode, Jhapa, Nepal. Currently, he lives in Kathmandu Nepal.

Sanjeev Baraili Career:

Sanjeev Baraili got the taste of music when he was just 10 years old. That was the time when his elder brother started learning guitar. At that time, they didn’t even have a guitar at home but, that didn’t stop his brother from explaining what a guitar is and how it produces music.

After Sanjeev completed his SLC (10th grade) examination, he moved to Kathmandu for further studies. One day he saw a vacancy for a guitar player in a hotel. He did apply but, he was invited for an audition, he didn’t have a guitar to show his talent.

Then he starts looking for a guitar to buy and he finds a street singer with a guitar. He approached the singer to sell his guitar and the guy agreed then he bought a guitar for Rs. 700. Although that was not a nice-looking guitar, he used it for his job audition.

The hotel band used to play ghazals of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Kisor Kumar, Ghulam Ali, and Manna Dey. He was very unfamiliar with the songs because he only used to play rock songs by Nepali bands with his Jhapa-based band, Peace. He spent playing guitar in a hotel – eight years. He also learned guitar with Gopal Rasaili, a well-known guitar player.

Baraili is today one of the most prolific guitarists in the Nepali music scene. He is behind the catchy riffs behind such hits as Kutu ma Kutu, a new version of Phul Butte Sari, Gojima Daam Chhaina, and many others.

He has played guitar in more than thousands of songs and Hundreds have performed in concerts. One of the most notable performances was at the Royal Albert Hall, an iconic venue in the UK.

He is also featured in Kripa Unplugged, a musical TV series, as a guitarist and music coordinator. In addition to music, he has also started singing on his own compositions. Baraili released an original song called Baaf.

Sanjeev Baraili is currently single. However, he was engaged to popular singer Melina Rai and had planned to get married in 2079. But for some reason, they broke the engagement.
