Storyline:
Shruti (Anushka Sharma) is a 20-something girl, focused and determined with preplanned ambitions. Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), on the other hand, has no real aim in life. They become partners in their very own “Wedding planning ka bijness”. Together, their friendship and business enters the ups and downs of the lavish Delhi weddings and while trying to find themselves, they discover each other too.

Band Baaja Baaraat is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Maneesh Sharma, marking his directorial debut. The screenplay was penned by Habib Faisal, and the film was produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. It features Ranveer Singh in his first leading role alongside Anushka Sharma.
The film premiered worldwide on December 10, 2010, and achieved commercial success despite facing competition from other releases like No Problem and Tees Maar Khan. Upon its release, it received widespread acclaim for its unique premise, engaging screenplay, memorable soundtrack, and strong performances from the leads.
At the 56th Filmfare Awards, Band Baaja Baaraat garnered six nominations, including Best Film and Best Director for Maneesh Sharma, and won two awards: Best Male Debut for Ranveer Singh and Best Debut Director for Sharma.
Additionally, a Tamil remake titled Aaha Kalyanam, also produced by Aditya Chopra was released on February 21, 2014, featuring Nani and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles.
