Saba Azad (also known as Saba Sultana Azad and Saba Singh Grewal) is an Indian actress, theatre director, dancer, and musician. She made her Bollywood debut as one of the lead Raaga in the indie film Dil Kabaddi (2008). However, Saba is known for her leading role in the romantic comedy film Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge (2011).
Saba is also sung in many Bollywood movies like Nautanki Saala, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Karwaan, Shaandaar, and Farzi (Web Series).

Saba Azad Family Members:
Saba Azad’s father’s name is PM Singh Grewal (Professor) and her mother is a housewife. She has an older brother who lives in Europe and a sister named Karuna Azad.
Saba Azad Early Life and Education:
Saba Azad was born and raised in Delhi, India on 1 November 1990. She was born into a theatre family and got a chance to work in Safdar Hashmi’s theatre group Jana Natya Manch in their stage productions from a very young age. She worked with Habib Tanvir, MK Raina, GP Deshpande, and NK Sharma.
She also trained in dance forms like Odissi, classical ballet, jazz, Latin as well as contemporary dance forms. Traveling with her Odissi guru, Kiran Segal, she performed in and outside the country including England, Canada, and Nepal.
Saba completed her schooling at Alexandra School, Amritsar, India. After schooling, she landed a lead role in a short film Guroor for director Ishaan Nair who traveled to festivals in New York and Florence. She has since gone on to work in many short films.
She graduated from Sidana Institute of Management and Technology, Amritsar, India.
Saba Azad Career:
She made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Anil Senior’s Dil Kabaddi opposite Rahul Bose, Irrfan Khan, and Konkona Sen Sharma. She appeared in a leading role as Preity Sen in Y-Films Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge opposite newcomers Nishant Dahiya and Saqib Saleem. She has also done a short film Guroor. The film was featured at several international film festivals in New York and Florence.
Azad is a popular musician and singer in the Indian indie music scene and one-half of the widely popular electronic band Madboy/Mink which she started with actor and musician Imaad Shah in 2012. Apart from this, she sang for many Bollywood movies like Dhak Dhak Karne Laga for Nautanki Saala (2013), and Calcutta Kiss for Detective Byomkesh Bakshy (2015), and Nakhrewali for Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2018).
Azad started her own theatre company The Skins in 2010 and directed her first play Lovepuke which opened at NCPA’s experimental theatre in September 2010.
Azad moved to Mumbai from Delhi and acted in a two-man play directed by Makarand Deshpande staged at Prithvi Theatre.
She has featured in commercials for Cadbury, Pond’s, Maggi, Tata Sky, Google, Kit Kat, Vodafone, Sunsilk, Nescafe, and Airtel as well as print campaigns for Clean & Clear, Westside and Amway, and many more.

Saba Azad was in a live-in relationship with Imaad Shah from 2013 to 2020.
